Learning to Improve: Creating a Culture of Evidence-Based Improvement in Chilean Schools

Project Proposal:
This project explores how to create school cultures of continuous improvement. Based in Santiago, Chile, my research helps identify how to create improvements motivated by school competition in Chile’s national school-choice system. I will perform a baseline analysis of schools, conduct case studies on two schools already identified to have cultures conducive to continuous improvement, and test best practices in five schools to construct a report about creating school cultures of improvement.
